The short version. We collect what you type into a form or a booking. We use it to send you what you asked for and to reply to you. We don't sell it, rent it, or hand it to anyone whose name isn't on this page. The newsletter is opt-in and one click gets you out. If you want to know what we hold about you, ask — we'll tell you, and we'll correct or delete it if you want that instead.
The rest of this page is the same commitment, said precisely.
Sales Playground (ABN 78 474 541 624) is a strategy and sales-performance firm based in Sydney, Australia. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Sales Playground. "You" means anyone who visits this website, requests a resource, books a call, subscribes to The Scoreboard, or works with us.
Businesses with annual turnover under A$3 million are generally exempt from the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). We have chosen to handle your information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles regardless, because the standard is the right one and because we ask you to trust us with your business numbers.
We don't ask for sensitive information as defined by the Privacy Act — health, biometric, racial or ethnic origin, political or religious affiliation — and we'd rather you didn't send it.
If you don't give us the information a form asks for, we usually can't send you the thing it unlocks. That's the only consequence.
The Scoreboard newsletter is opt-in. Requesting a guide does not subscribe you to it — those are separate actions and we keep them separate.
Every marketing email we send identifies us and carries a one-click unsubscribe. Unsubscribing is instant and permanent, and we won't email to ask why. We comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth), which applies to us whether or not the Privacy Act does.
Transactional messages — a guide you requested, a booking confirmation, a reply to your enquiry, or correspondence during a live engagement — aren't marketing and will still reach you.
We don't sell, rent or trade personal information. Ever. We do use third-party services to run the business, and your information passes through them:
Because these providers store data outside Australia, using this site means your information may be held overseas, principally in the United States. We choose established providers with published security practices, but we can't control their infrastructure and don't pretend otherwise.
We'll also disclose information where the law requires it — a court order, a regulator, or a legal obligation we can't refuse.
This site sets cookies to keep it working and to measure how it's used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some things may behave oddly.
To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, install Google's browser opt-out add-on. To limit LinkedIn advertising data, use the advertising controls in your LinkedIn account settings.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner. Unless we're legally required to keep it, we will.
We use reputable providers, multi-factor authentication on the accounts that hold your data, and access limited to people who need it — which, at our current size, is a very short list. No system is perfectly secure, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. If a breach occurred that put you at real risk of serious harm, we would tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner promptly.
You can ask us to:
Email [email protected] and we'll respond within 30 days, usually much sooner. There's no charge. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so we're not handing your data to someone else.
Tell us first — email the address above with "Privacy complaint" in the subject line, and we'll investigate and respond in writing within 30 days.
If our answer doesn't satisfy you, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.
This site is aimed at an Australian audience and operates under Australian law. If you're in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area and you believe the UK GDPR or GDPR applies to how we handle your information, email us — we'll deal with your request on those terms.
When this policy changes, we update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we handle information we already hold about you, we'll tell you directly rather than quietly editing the page.
